Please have the youth applicant complete this section.

With limited spots available, participants will be selected based on their project submissions. If you prefer to complete your project submission in Mi’kmaw, please contact our camp Program Coordinator, Denise Whynot at dwhynot@ulnooweg.ca.

Please write/create your submission based on one of the following prompts.

Option 1: What inspired you to apply for this camp? Have you always been interested, or did someone encourage you? If applying to more than one, which camp excites you most, and why? Now describe your perfect camp experience—what skills do you want to learn, and what hands-on activities are you most excited about?

Option 2: What makes a great leader? Do you see yourself as one in the future? Why or why not?

Option 3: What are your hopes for the future? Where do you see yourself when you grow up, and how does this camp connect to your goals?

For your response, please choose one of the following formats:

  • A written response (250–500 words)
  • A 2-5 minute video
  • A creative piece (new or previously created), such as a drawing, painting, poetry, songwriting, sculpture, beadwork, or another artistic form
