Dive into Adventure at Oceans Camp
Are you an Indigenous youth with a passion for the ocean and adventure? Oceans Camp is an 11-day immersive experience for youth ages 15-18, offering a unique opportunity to explore Atlantic Canada’s marine ecosystems through the lens of Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing) – blending Indigenous knowledge and modern science.
Through hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) activities, cultural teachings, and outdoor exploration, participants will deepen their understanding of the ocean’s vital role in our world. Guided by Elders, knowledge keepers, and marine science experts, you’ll experience the best of both worlds – traditional wisdom and cutting-edge marine science.
