On November 28, help us strengthen our educational programs and make a lasting impact. Together, we can create a brighter future through education.

MAJOR AREAS OF GIVING

Every donation to the Ulnooweg Education Centre directly impacts the lives of Indigenous youth across our regions. From dynamic STEAM programs to cultural and language preservation initiatives, your support is vital in fostering a nurturing educational environment. Your generosity enables us to continue offering innovative learning opportunities and to expand our reach within the community. Below are our key educational programs currently making a difference.

Science & Innovation

Your contribution aids in the advancement of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education for Indigenous youth in Atlantic Canada, nurturing a new generation of innovators and thinkers.

Through your support, we can provide engaging and interactive learning experiences that inspire curiosity and passion for these critical fields, shaping a brighter future for our communities.

Let's Heal the Hemlocks

Your support for the “Heal the Hemlocks” campaign helps protect and restore the ancient Eastern Hemlock forests in Nova Scotia, preserving a vital part of the region’s natural heritage and ecological balance. These forests, under threat from the invasive hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA), provide essential ecological functions, support diverse wildlife, and hold immense cultural significance. Your contribution aids in combatting this threat and ensuring the survival of these majestic trees for the 7 generations.

Our sister company, Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation, is also deeply committed to advancing Indigenous causes and is a registered charity. If you’re interested in supporting broader initiatives like Indigenous language preservation, environmental conservation, or community development, we invite you to explore the various campaigns led by the Foundation.

Wolastoqey Language Fund

Your support helps preserve and revitalize the Wolastoqey language in New Brunswick, fostering a stronger cultural identity and continuity for future generations.

Genevieve Francis Memorial Fund

Honor the memory of Genevieve Francis by contributing to initiatives that empower and support our communities, continuing her spirit of giving and community involvement.

ITP L'Nu Scholarship Fund

Help us to provide financial assistance to Indigenous students from Atlantic Canada, with the aim of helping them pursue post-secondary education via scholarships, bursaries, and more.
